Morgan Goldberg

A lifelong athlete, gymnast, yogi, martial artist and circus performer, Morgan Goldberg is a true renaissance woman of the physical arts. In 2006, after moving from New York City to Portland with her partner and seven year old daughter, Talia, Morgan became aware of a growing need for non-competitive, holistic, and fun physical education for children. With over ten years of experience in early childhood education, it seemed only natural that Morgan would combine her two passions, education and movement arts, to create Motion Magic.

NYC teaching credits include Circus Minimus, where Morgan worked closely with her mentors, Kevin O’Keefe and Erin Maile O’Keefe, to acquire a certification in Circus Yoga, and teach circus skills such as juggling, tumbling, and clowning to primary school aged children.

Portland teaching credits include partner yoga, yoga flow and kids yoga and gymnastics at the Lotus Seed School of Yoga, Woodstock Wellness Center, Exhale Yoga Studio, and Metro Gymnastics where she has worked with a variety of clientele from lower income students who pay by donation, to members of the world famous Cirque du Soleil.

As a circus performer, Morgan got an early start as a child at Wavy Gravy’s circus and performing arts summer camp, Camp Winnarainbow. As an adult, she returns every summer as the head acrobatics instructor. Other performing credits include fire performance with Flamebouyant Productions, The Rose City Vaudeville, The Vulcan Fire Conclave and as a member of The Circus Artemis, The Olympia Theater Project and Roundabout Theater. She has performed at weddings, birthday parties, and other private events as well as libraries, festivials and fairs including the SE Alaska State Fair, World Beat Music Festival, the Portland Children's Museum, halftime at the Bridgetown Brawl, the 14th annual Portland Clowns Without Borders Benefit Show and Freak Night Seattle.

Morgan has a B.A in Theatre with a minor in Nutrition from Evergreen State College, a 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher certifation, CircusYoga teacher certification, AcroYoga Mtl teacher certification, two USGA certifications and Early Childhood Education and Business credits from Portland Community College.
